What this paper is about

Edit What this paper is about Content

Film Production 2 serves to further develop your creativity and confidence with image construction and sound design.

In this second stage of film production we focus on fast thinking practical video exercises, critical engagements with short audio-visual works and creative development intended to make you more adaptable and flexible as a filmmaker going forward.

The aim is for you to develop new ways of deliberately and consciously engaging, challenging and provoking your viewers. we will use practical work to spark a dialogue with peers and the teaching staff. Self and peer critique will constitute the main method of developing projects and creative practice. In doing so, you will learn that the making of any project is a process that continues well beyond the production of a first draft, and how work develops effectively through public presentation and critique.

This paper will be graded on the level and quality of student participation, input and experimentation throughout this process - These factors will be given priority over the end product during assessment and evaluation.

We will retain the timetabled lecture slot so that students have a reserved timetable slot of 2 hours every week so that they can get together to plan, shoot or edit work. This means there will be no excuses in terms of scheduling group meetings or working on projects.
